Called From Labor

The roll of the workmen has been called, and some of our Brethren have not answered.

They have laid down the working tools of the Craft at the steps to the Lodge and have left those mortal bonds of earth for which they no longer have a use.

  Wayne Henry Zickefoose, Sr. - born Oct. 31, 1958, passed June 14, 2010. He was Initiated Jul 15, 2009, Passed Feb. 17 and Raised May 31, 2010. 
  Stanley Earl Ault - born Dec. 15, 1932 in Dugger, IN, passed June 24, 2010. Br. Ault was Initiated Sep. 14, 1979, Passed Jan. 25, and Raised Jul. 11, 1980 in Anaheim 207.
  William R. Phillips - born December 17, 1918 in Los Angeles, passed May 7, 2010.  Br. Phillips was Initiated Oct. 20, 1942, Passed Nov. 24, and Raised Dec. 29, 1942 in South Park Lodge 563, now Wisdom 202. He affiliated June 2002 with AM-Daylight Lodge, now Anaheim 207.
  Morris Thed Hammond - born May 24,1926 in Reese, KS, passed May 23, 2010. Morris was Initiated Feb. 10, 1961, Passed Apr. 19, 1963 and Raised May 18, 1963.
  Richard J. (Dick) Chard, Lt. Cmdr, Ret. - born January 15, 1916 in Patterson, NJ, passed March 16, 2010. Dick lived in Fullerton for the past 55 years. He was originally a member of University Lodge 394 and then Azure Lodge 533, now Anaheim Lodge 207.
  Harry Lee Hibler - born Dec. 31, 1924, passed May 19, 2010. He was Initiated Mar. 19, 1964, Passed May 21 and Raised Aug. 27, 1964 in Azure Lodge. Past Master of Azure Lodge #533 in 1972, demitted from Anaheim Azure Lodge # 207 to Chino Valley Lodge # 427, a former Grand Tiler of the Grand Lodge of California, and longtime DeMolay advisor.
 William Giles Witte - born Oct. 13, 1914 in Iowa, passed April 4, 2010 in Palm Desert, CA. Br. Witte was Initiated Nov. 10, 1953, Passed on March 23, 1954 and Raised Aug. 31, 1954 in Angeles-Mesa Lodge 625 (now Anaheim 207). He was honored with the Golden Veteran Award Nov. 18, 2004.
 Kenneth McCloud - born Feb. 15, 1917, passed March 22, 2010 in Buena Park, CA.  Br. McCloud was Initiated Apr. 1, 1946, Passed May 1, 1946 and Raised June 1, 1946 in Azure 533 (now Anaheim 207). Br. McCloud was honored with the Golden Veteran Award on Feb. 5, 1997.
  David Payne - born Aug. 11, 1943, passed on Jan. 29, 2010 in Mira Loma, CA.  Br. Payne was Initiated June 18, 1982, Passed Sept. 24 and Raised Jan. 14, 1983.
 Harry Pershing Amey - born Nov. 26, 1918, passed on May 30, 2008 in Olympia, WA. Br. Amey was Initiated Apr 25, 1949, Passed May 17 and Raised June 20, 1949 in St. Paul's Lodge #14, Middletown, RI. Br. Amey affiliated with OC Daylight Lodge 833 (now Anaheim 207) in 1981 and received the Golden Veteran Award on Sept. 11, 1999.
  

William E. Tiner, born Sept. 20, 1930, passed on Oct. 6, 2009. W. Br. Tiner was Initiated Feb. 28, 1979, Passed June 12 and Raised Nov. 13, 1979 in Angeles Mesa Lodge 625 (now Anaheim 207), and served as Master in 1985.

 

Floyd Hardin "Bill" Raymond, born Nov. 16, 1919 , passed on December 24, 2009. Br. Raymond was Initiated Nov. 13, 1951, Passed Feb. 8, 1952 and Raised May 27, 1952 in Angelus Mesa Lodge. He received the Golden Veteran Award on May 28, 2002.

  

John Harlan Curry - born Dec. 15, 1928, passed on Jan. 5, 2010. W. Br. Curry was Initiated Sept. 25, 1985, Passed Jan. 29, 1986 and Raised Mar. 26, 1986 in Azure Lodge (now Anaheim) and served as Master in 1991.

  

Byrne Louis Binns - born March 28, 1945, passed on January 14, 2010. Br. Binns was Initiated Jan. 13, 1984, Passed Mar. 23 and Raised June 29 in Mar Vista Lodge 820 and affiliated with Anaheim 207 in 1984.

 

Robert Kenneth Eddings - born Dec. 3, 1945, passed on Dec. 10, 2009.  W. Br. Eddings was initiated Jan 9, 1991, Passed Feb. 27 and Raised June 17, 1991 in Azure Lodge 533. He served as Master of Azure Lodge (now Anaheim 207) in 1995 and raised his son Will in 2001 as Worshipful Master in all three degrees. W. Br. Eddings was honored with the Hiram Award on Sept. 8, 2004.

  

Father James Brocken Gillespie, born July 28, 1933 and passed on Oct. 12, 2009 in Bend, OR. Br. Gillespie was Initiated Sep. 8, 1959, Passed Oct. 27 and Raised Mar. 15, 1960 in Saddleback Laguna Lodge #672. He affiliated with Orange Co. Daylight #833, now Anaheim #207 in 1988.

 

Robert Lawrence Alspaugh - born May 28, 1924 and passed on Sept. 14, 2009 in Chino Hills. Br. Alspaugh was Initiated Oct. 24, 1950 , Passed Jan. 16, 1951 and Raised June 26, 1951 in Angeles Mesa #625 (now Anaheim 207). Br. Robert received his Golden Veteran Award on Aug. 11, 2001.

  

Scott Whitehouse - Born Jan. 29, 1914 in Kentucky and passed on Jan. 29, 2009 in Corona del Mar on his 95th birthday. Br. Whitehouse was Initiated Nov. 16, 1960, Passed April 19 and Raised Sept. 6, 1961 in Oakwood #743, now Glendale #368. He affiliated with Orange Co. Daylight #833, now Anaheim #207 in 1982.

   

Steven David Fox - Born Feb. 18, 1945 in Fullerton and passed on July 28, 2009 in Fullerton. Br. Fox was Initiated June 22, 1974, Passed Jan, 10, 1980 and Raised Mar. 13, 1980 in Azure Lodge #533 (now Anaheim 207).

   

Karl Edward Schmidbauer - Born April 5, 1952 in Irvington, NJ and passed on July 29 in Anaheim at the age of 57 years. Br. Karl was Initiated Feb. 15, 1991, Passed May 17 and Raised July 20, 1991 in Anaheim 207. He was Secretary of Anaheim Lodge in 1994.

  Carl L. Wood - Born in Texas Oct. 5, 1919 and passed June 2, 2009 in Port Angeles, WA.  Br. Wood Entered on June 20, 1952, Passed on July 25, 1952 and was Raised on Sept. 26, 1959 in Azure Lodge 533, now Anaheim 207.
  Paul Ridenour, a very frequent visitor to our lodge, was born on June 30, 1923 and passed on July 8, 2009 in Anaheim. Br. Paul entered Masonry Aug. 7, 1944, was Passed Dec. 15 and Raised Jan. 23, 1945 in North Bend, OR Lodge #140. Br. Ridenour was honored with a Fifty Year Pin on Feb. 14, 1995. Br. Paul was a 70 year De Molay. Over two dozen Masons attended his memorial service at United Methodist Church. Paul was well liked by all and will be sorely missed.
 
James Jesson Friis - born in Santa Ana Mar. 1, 1928, passed July 27, 2009 in Orange. Br. Friis was Initiated Sept. 21, 1951, Passed Nov. 16, 1951 and Raised Feb. 29, 1952 in Anaheim Lodge. Br. Friis served as Organist in the lodge in the early ‘90s and received his Golden Veteran Award April 3, 2002 at Lodge.
 

Bob Luther Watson - Born in Fullerton on August 24, 1923 and passed on June 18, 2009 in Fullerton.   Br. Watson entered Masonry Feb. 10, 1956, was Passed May 18 and Raised Nov. 16, 1956 in Anaheim Lodge.  Br. Bob was honored  with the Golden Veteran Award at lodge Mar. 5, 2008. 

  John William Moore - Born in Alliance, Ohio on July 23, 1924, passed on May 16, 2009 in Apple Valley.   A Masonic service was performed for Br. Moore on May 26 by our Lodge.  Br. John entered Masonry Oct. 24, 1957, was passed Jan. 30, 1958 and Raised Oct. 24, 1958 in Havelock Lodge #688 Cherry Point, North Carolina.  He affiliated with Anaheim #207 in 1998.
  Donald Steven Perkins - Born May 31, 1948, died April 11, 2009 in El Mirage, AZ. Br. Perkins was Initiated May 11, 1984, Passed July 13 and Raised Nov. 9, 1984 in Service Lodge #594 and affiliated with AM Daylight, now Anaheim, in 1991. Don was heavily involved the Masons, Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls and the Aloha Shriners.
  Larry Walker - Born Aug. 27, 1944, died March 9, 2009 in Anaheim. Br. Walker was Initiated Mar. 28, 2001, Passed May 5, and Raised June 27, 2001 in Anaheim Lodge #207. Many lodge members, with our Master, attended Larry's service which was a beautiful and moving celebration of life.
 Everett Lionel Wilkinson - Born Aug. 4, 1918 in Caldwell, Ohio, died Jan. 16, 2009 in Mira Loma. Br. Wilkinson was Initiated Oct. 16, 1962, Passed Jan. 29, 1963 and Raised June 25, 1963 in Anaheim #207. W. Br. Everett was honored with the Hiram Award on Sep. 2, 1989. W. Br. Wilkinson served as Master of AM Daylight Lodge #625, now Anaheim #207, in 1991 and 1992.
  William Harold Stotler Jr. - Born July 13, 1923, died Dec. 4, 2008 in Lake Ellsinore. Br. Stotler was Initiated Feb. 14, 1974, Passed Apr. 25 and Raised Aug. 8, 1974.
 Richard Gates Maus - Born Sept. 3, 1914 in Sioux Falls, SD, died Nov. 1, 2008 in Orange. Br. Maus was Initiated June 9, 1957, Passed July 26, 1957 and Raised Sept. 13, 1957. Br. Maus received his Golden Veteran Award on Oct. 3, 2007.
 Wilbur Leroy Comstock - Born June 8, 1924 in Riverside, died Oct. 1, 2008 in Fullerton. Br. Comstock was Initiated Nov. 15, 1946, Passed Apr. 11, 1947 and Raised May 16, 1947 in Anaheim #207. Leroy received his Golden Veteran Award on June 16, 1997.
  Frank Edward Funke Jr. - Born Mar. 22, 1923 in Illinois, died Nov. 14, 2007 in Mission Viejo. Br. Funke was Initiated Nov. 11, 1958, Passed May. 19, 1959 and Raised Oct. 13, 1959 in Anaheim #207.
  Archie G. Jackson, Lt.Col. - Ret - Born Jan. 5, 1917 in Kansas, died Sept. 19, 2008 in Laguna Beach. Br. Jackson was Initiated Nov. 15, 1962, Passed Mar. 9, 1967 and Raised Sept. 14, 1967.
  Bernard Earl Mallett - born Dec. 2, 1922 in Lewisville, OH, died July 1, 2008 in Anaheim. Br. Mallett was Initiated May 31, 1991, Passed July 26 and Raised Nov. 22, 1991 in Anaheim Lodge.
  
Max Eugene Randolph - born Apr. 30, 1920 in Kokomo, IN, died May 6, 2008 in San Jacinto. Br. Randolph was Initiated May 29, 1981, Passed Jan. 15, 1982 and Raised Apr. 3, 1982 in Anaheim # 207.
  Harry Freeman Haymond - born May 24, 1924 in Ohio, died Jan. 5, 2008 in Riverside. Br. Haymond was Initiated Feb. 14, 1961, Passed July 25 and Raised Mar. 20, 1962 in Angeles Mesa Lodge #625, now Anaheim #207.
   David George Rogers - born May 8, 1953 in Missouri, died Dec. 21, 2007 in Henderson, NV. Br. Rogers was Initiated Sept. 8, 1988, Passed Nov. 17, 1988 and Raised Feb. 9, 1989 in Buena Park Lodge #357, affiliated with AM Daylight Lodge #625 in 1990, now Anaheim #207.
 William Richard Gardner - born Sept. 9, 1922 in Louisiana, died June 22, 2008 in Klamath Falls, OR. Br. Gardner was Initiated July 6, 1951, Passed Jan 23, 1952 and Raised Jan 30, 1952 in Hawaii, affiliated with AM Daylight Lodge #625 in 1990 (now Anaheim #207). He received his Golden Veteran Award Feb. 9, 2002.
  Durwood Degroat Hicks - born Oct. 18, 1917 in Wisconsin, died June 16, 2008 in Laguna Woods. Br. Hicks was Initiated Sept. 14, 1966, Passed Feb. 22, 1967 and Raised May 31, 1967 in Henry Knox Lodge #662, affiliated with Orange County Daylight #833 (now Anaheim #207) in 1982.
  Alan George Hiltscher - passed on Feb.26, 2008 in El Cajon, CA. He was born on April 5, 1927 in Anaheim. Br. Hiltscher was initiated Oct. 9, 1959, passed May 18, 1960 and raised June 13, 1961 in Anaheim #207.
 George Frank Gale - Br. George Frank Gale, born June 11, 1911 in California, raised to the Celestial Lodge Jan. 15, 2008 in Woodland Hills, CA. Br. George was Initiated on May 13, 1980, Passed Aug. 12 and Raised Sep. 30, 1980 in Gateway Lodge 339. He affiliated with AM Daylight in 1982 and Mother Colony in 1986. George served as Master four times in the different lodges: First for Mother Colony (now Solomon's Staircase 357) in '90, West Beach 616 (now Huntington Beach 380) in '96 and AM Daylight (now Anaheim 207) in '93 & '99. He received the Hiram Award from West Beach 616 in '97. George was a founding member of San Fernando Scottish Rite and a member at Santa Ana Valley also. He was to receive his 33rd Degree the 16th.
  William Franklin Piper - passed on Dec. 25, 2007 in Rancho Cucamonga. He was born on April 2, 1923 in Degrass, OH. Br. Bill was initiated Dec. 28, 1961, passed Mar. 22, 1962 and raised June 28, 1962 in Azure #533. He served as Master of Azure Lodge in 1967.
  Charles 'Chuck' Ronnie Morgan - Brother Morgan had passed away on November 11, 2007 after a battle with cancer. Chuck was born Dec 29th, 1939 and is survived by Charleen, his wife of 40 years. Chuck Morgan was a brother Mason who received his Master Mason degree on February 2, 1967 while on military duty in the Philippines. He affiliated with Anaheim #207 in 1985, was a well known, active and respected brother.
  Herman L. Lenz - Brother Lenz, who with his wife Muriel recently gave the lodge $30,000 for a scholarship fund, passed away on July 22, 2007 in Stanton. Br. Herman was born in Anaheim on Feb. 21, 1908. He was Initiated on Oct. 8, 1953, Passed on June 18, 1954 and Raised Feb. 25, 1955.
 Joseph N. Tye - passed on July 17, 2007 in La Palma. Br. Tye was born February 29, 1928 in Nebraska. Joe was Initiated on Apr. 8, 1953, Passed on Oct. 28 and Raised on Nov. 25, 1953 in Rob Morris Lodge #46 in Kearney, Nebraska. He affiliated with AM Daylight Lodge, now Anaheim Lodge in 1991. Joe received his Golden Veteran Award on Mar. 13, 2004.
  
Teresito De Jesus Saldana - passed on June 11, 2007 in Corona. Terry was born March 4, 1940 in Culbertson County, TX. Br. Saldana was Initiated Apr. 20, 1983, Passed on Sept. 21 and Raised Nov. 23 in So. Pasadena #290, where he served as Master in 1988. He affiliated with Anaheim Lodge in 1991 and served as Secretary in 1996 and '97.
  James Robert Browne - passed on June 10, 2006 in Hemet. Br. Browne was born April 25, 1923 in Clemens, MI. James was Initiated on Oct. 22, 1984, Passed on May 20, 1985 and Raised on Oct. 27, 1985 in O. C. Daylight #833, now Anaheim #207.
 Cecil Flake Sparks - passed on May 1, 2007 in Geneva, OH. He was born on Nov. 14, 1917 in Texas. Br. Sparks was initiated Jan. 11, 1955, passed June 21 and raised Nov. 22, 1955 in Angeles Mesa #625 (now Anaheim #207). He received his Golden Vet Award Nov. 28, 2005.
  Joe H. Hinrichs - passed on Apr. 18, 2007 in Fullerton. Br. Joe was born May 1, 1917 in California. He was initiated Nov. 11, 1976, passed June 9, 1977 and raised Jul 21, 1977 in Azure #533 (now Anaheim #207).

James Arthur Goodwin - born Aug. 18, 1910 in Fullerton, died April 3, 2007 in Ventura. Br. Goodwin was Initiated May 8, Passed Jul. 24 and Raised Oct. 16, 1953 in Azure Lodge #533. Br. Jimmy served as Chaplain of Azure and Anaheim Azure Lodge for over 20 years. He received the Hiram Award on Aug 16, 1989 and Golden Veteran Award Oct. 22, 2003.
 Henry John Goodwin - born Aug. 10, 1914 in Pennsylvania, deceased March 13, 2007 in Westlake Village. Br. Goodwin was Initiated on Jan. 24, 1950, Passed on May 28 and Raised on Nov. 14, 1950 in Angeles Mesa Lodge #625, now Anaheim Lodge. Br. Henry received his Golden Veteran Award on Dec. 9, 2000.
 Elbert Leroy Weist Sr. - born Feb. 7, 1926 in Indiana, died in Placerville, CA on Mar. 3, 2007. Br. Weist was Initiated Oct. 11, 1968, Passed Feb. 14, 1969 and Raised on May 23, 1969 in Anaheim Lodge. He served as Master in 1978 and received the Hiram Award Nov. 9, 1984. He dimited to Hiram Lodge #25, where he served as Master in 1995 & 2000.
 Floyd Neely - born Jan. 9, 1918 in Hartford, Arkansas, died Mar. 3, 2007 in Anaheim. Br. Neely was Initiated Nov. 12, 1948, Passed Jan. 21 and Raised May 27, 1949 in Anaheim Lodge. He received his Golden Veteran Award on Sept. 1, 1999.
  Lonnie William Sandlin - passed on February 20, 2007. Br. Sandlin was born May 24, 1946. Lonnie was initiated on Apr. 21, 1987, passed on June 23 and raised on Sep. 29, 1987 in Angeles Mesa Lodge #625, now Anaheim #207.
  Fred Curtis - passed Jan. 26, 2007 in La Palma. Br. Fred was born Mar. 22, 1925 in Los Angeles. He was Initiated Mar. 16, 1973, Passed Sep. 28 and Raised Jan. 11, 1974 in Anaheim #207.
 Wayne Bernard Wilkins - passed on Dec. 28, 2006 in Fullerton. He was born June 10, 1922 in Sioux Falls, SD. Br. Wayne was Initiated Feb. 9. 1951, Passed Mar. 30 and Raised June 22, 1951. He received his Golden Vet. Award on December 15, 2001.
 Alfred Frank Baker - passed on Dec. 11, 2006 in Chatsworth. Br. Al was born Sept. 10, 1912 in Idaho. He was Initiated Jan. 11, 1946, Passed Feb. 26 and Raised Jun. 29, 1946 in Angeles Mesa #625, now Anaheim #207. He received his Golden Vet. Award on October 7, 1996.
  Arvil Roy Drake - passed December 3, 2006 in Bentonville, AR. Br. Arvil was born Aug. 2, 1923 in Arkansas. He was Initiated June 15, 1976, Passed Aug. 8 and Raised Nov. 18, 1976 in Azure #533, now Anaheim.
  Richard Dale Hanno - Past Master of Anaheim Lodge was born Feb. 8, 1936 in New York, died Nov. 26, 2006 in Riverside, CA. Initiated Sep. 14, 1979, Passed Jan. 18, 1980 and Raised May 23, 1980. He served as Master of Anaheim #207 in 1986. He was last a member of Riverside #635.
 Kenneth E Bridgford - passed on March 17, 2005 in Apple Valley. Br. Ken was born Dec. 15, 1917 in Oakland. He was Initiated May 9, 1952, Passed Oct. 17 and Raised Nov. 29, 1952 in Anaheim Lodge. He received his Golden Vet. Award on October 29, 2002.
 Toy Russell Fields Jr. - passed on July 1, 2004 in Los Angeles. Br. Toy was born Sept. 18, 1926 in Virginia. He was Initiated Oct. 28, 1948, Passed Feb. 15, 1949 and Raised June 28, 1949. He received his Golden Vet. Award on September 11, 1999.
