Greetings Brethren,
April is already upon us, and I just can't believe how fast this year is going by!
In this month's Trestle Board you will find helpful information from our Grand Lodge on making a donation to the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that affected New Zealand and Japan, how you can help make a difference in the fight against cancer, and information on upcoming events at your Lodge. It is really wonderful to be able to inform all of you on all the great things that Masons in California are participating in. Working together we all can make a difference in someone's life!
That brings me to a very special upcoming event that we will be preparing for our June Stated Meeting. Today, there are more than 11 million cancer survivors living in the U.S. and it is Grand Master Bill Bray's hope that By Your Side will provide those in the fight with more comfort and care by raising funds to help cover the cost of oncology certification for California nurses.
Join Anaheim Lodge No. 207 at our June Stated Meeting to celebrate survivorship, to celebrate being alive, and to celebrate the moment. Recognize cancer survivors on June 5th, National Cancer Survivors Day, and demonstrate that life after a cancer diagnosis is be a reality. If you have a story you would like to share, please contact Ray Dailey at 714-491-2600.
I would like to congratulate Brother Anwar Caram on receiving his first degree and becoming our newest Entered Apprentice Mason during the month of March. This was Brother Shawn Bell's first time in the East and he did an outstanding job as our Master for the night. Later in the month Brother George Karpitian became our newest Master Mason. Both degrees were conducted by your Lodge officers, along with the support of some of our Past Masters, and both were examples of some of our best degree work this year. Come by this month and support our new Brothers as they receive their degrees!
The April Stated Meeting promises to be another terrific evening you and the ladies don't want to miss. Worshipful Brother Ron Salda is promising another outstanding holiday celebration with some great entertainment. Sandy Dailey will be putting together a fun for Ladie's Program that will take place during the business meeting after dinner. Looking forward to seeing all of you at Lodge in April!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Kevin Stibich
Master
