August is a month of labor as well as sun, fun and fellowship. Prior to regaling (my word of the month) you with the upcoming frivolity (my 2nd word) of our events, I would like to thank the Anaheim Iron Chefs for the July 7th “Independence” Stated Meeting dinner. The success of this event was made possible by the teamwork of Sandy Dailey, Carol Stibich, Diane Hall, Brother Shawn Bell, Brother Brandon Bell (”The Boy”), Brother Casey Byerly, Misty, Brother Cameron Jackson, Brother Hugo Ramos and Jonathan Haggerty. Their combined efforts made for a stupendous evening.
Upcoming on August 4th is the Stated Meeting starting at 7:30 PM with a special presentation. We look forward the seeing all the Brethren there.
August 8th brings us to the Car Rally, Anaheim and Orange Grove Lodges are putting on a Car Rally for the youth groups of Anaheim and Orange. Anaheim has Jobs Daughters and DeMolay and Orange Grove has DeMolay, Jobs and Rainbow.
On August 25th we are honored to host the Hiram Award for Worshipful Brother Eugene Kimbler, PM. Dinner will be served at 6:30 PM. The presentation of the award will follow.
August 28th is our annual “Operation Thank You” BBQ at Long Beach VA Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to show our thanks to those who have proudly served our country. Come out to show your support and help. Contact Brother Mike Selix for information, at (951) 3606006.
Mark your calendars on September 24-26 for the 161st Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of California to be held in San Francisco.
Brethren, we enjoy unparalleled freedoms and liberties in this great country, the United States of America, so never take for granted the sacrifices our past Armed Forces Veterans endured. Today, the efforts of our current men and women of the Armed Forces continue to keep us free and safe. Keep them in your hearts, minds and prayers each and every day, as well as our local support services, the Police and Firefighters, who protect us each and every day.
May peace and harmony be with you daily.
Fraternally,
Ray Dailey Junior Warden |
