Conventional wisdom holds that no subject has more written about it than the Bible. And maybe a not so close a second is the subject of Freemasonry. There is probably no practical way to test this hypotheses, but then who is to challenge the thought.A book published by The Masonic Book Club, (1978-1979) A "Masonic Readers Guide", by Alphonse Cerza, lists 462 authors. In many cases, each author has published numerous books, and this would not take into account the many, many articles and papers offered by each. Keep in mind too that this book was published in 1980. Since then, there have been a whole bunch of new authors that would not be included. Add to that count the number of magazine, Grand Lodge publications, Lodge Trestle Boards and the like. It is almost overwhelming! It's a wonder why so many know so little about our Craft.
