Anaheim Lodge 207 participated in its fourth annual Child ID program alongside Stoddard & Sunkist School faculty with the YMCA's Anaheim Achieves Student Showcase on June 2, 2007. Above are Min, Bincins, Phil and Juliano hard at work on a couple of youngsters. We had the opportunity to ID well over 350 children in the span of only 4 hours. Although we had a few technical difficulties, I would venture that we would have ID'd several more children had we had more time and paper! We actually ran out of our printed ID forms!
Nevertheless, it was a wonderful event and I am proud that Anaheim Lodge took advantage of this great opportunity. I would like to thank all of the brethren that were instrumental in realizing and carrying out this event: Wor. Merritt Read, Bincins Garcia, Phil Collins, Min Higashi and Juliano Jarquin. Brethren, you should be proud of these gentlemen, in that they successfully executed this event with a smile on their face and a demeanor worthy of a Mason. I would also like to thank the families of the brethren that participated in this event. This event could not have taken place without your support of our brethren. Thank you.
Finally, I would encourage our brethren to continue supporting and participating in these types of events that not only promote our Masonic tenets, but also showcase that overshadowed and often ignored aspect of a Mason - a civil servant.
